Sarah Moreland Byrne is the creator of IndyDressed, a fashion and lifestyle blog that highlights the stories of Indiana’s designers, artists and entrepreneurs. A full-time digital media specialist for an Indianapolis-based nonprofit, she brings the writing, editing and social media skills from her job to her blog, which she describes as a “serious hobby.”
Since founding IndyDressed in 2013, Sarah has covered events like Indiana Fashion Week, Midwest Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week and the fashion shows at the Indiana Black Expo and Meet the Artists. She has spoken on multiple educational panels, including a behind-the-scenes look at fashion blogging sponsored by Macy’s, and moderated a discussion with Hoosier fashion designers as part of the Fashion Arts Society at Newfields. She’s collaborated with several local, national and global brands and organizations, including the Indiana State Museum, Carmel Symphony Orchestra, IKEA and DryBar. She also served on the planning committee for Matsuri, a gala to celebrate the opening of Newfields’ “Fashion Redefined: Miyake, Kawakubo, Yamamoto” exhibit in 2019. Sarah and IndyDressed have been featured twice by Indy Maven and mentioned in Indianapolis Monthly.
Sarah graduated from Ball State University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in magazine journalism and Japanese.
